JM Refrigeration

FAQs

There are many areas in the refrigeration industry which pose many questions. Below we have answered the most common.
1What is your average response time in the North West?
We aim to attend all breakdowns within 2 hours of the fault being reported, generally kept within 60-90 minutes.
2Do you repair domestic fridges?
We do not attend domestic properties or repair domestic fridge units / American fridge freezers, we do work on commercial stand-up fridges and displays and anything larger.
3Can you repair Hydrocarbon (Flammable refrigeration) cooling units?
Engineers hold City and Guilds 6187-21 hydrocarbon licences enabling us to work on hydrocarbon, A2L and A3 refrigerants in the safest manner possible.
4Can you look after all refrigeration equipment on my site from cold storage to transport?
Our engineers are trained in both the mobile and static refrigeration sectors which means we can address both areas of a site in one visit, this minimises repair and travel times where separate repair providers would usually be contacted.
5If my transport unit has a fault out of your general area can you help?
We can travel further than our regular radius for pre-planned and emergency breakdowns. we also have a network of reputable repair agents across England and Scotland who are ready to assist our clients should they need assistance.
6Can you keep my equipment compliant for BRC Audits etc?
Working with a variety of customers and industries means we can keep equipment compliant for all site inspections ad audits. Our probe calibrations are UKAS traceable and we have Refcom accreditation which complements our F-gas Certification.
7Do you offer routine service schedules and plans?
JM offer tailored routine service packages for both transport and static refrigeration units, inclusive of the relevant documentation for service, calibration, and F-gas checks. We keep track of the service intervals of your fleet and equipment so you don’t have to, we do however send an annual service list so you can see what is due in the future months.
8Are your engineers compliant with working at height procedures and regulations?
All staff members are trained to work at height in all areas including ladders and harnesses training through to relevant risk assessment and method statement documentation.
